Dear Future Client,

First off… can I just say how proud I am of you? Seriously. Choosing to start therapy takes courage, and even though it might feel a little scary or uncertain, you’ve already taken one of the hardest steps and that’s showing up.

I know this process can feel intimidating (and maybe even a little awkward at first), but my goal is to make therapy feel like a safe, judgment-free zone where you can show up exactly as you are. Come as your messy, curious, healing, or “still figuring it out” self; there’s room for all of it here.

Together, we’ll create a space that feels personal to you, a space where you can be open, honest, and heard. I want your experience to feel supportive, empowering, and yes, even a little fun sometimes. Therapy doesn’t have to be all tears and tissues; it can also be full of laughter, lightbulb moments, and growth you never saw coming.

I’m genuinely happy you’re here. You deserve to feel seen, understood, and cared for and I can’t wait to be part of your journey toward that.

With warmth (and a little happy dance),

Shakirie Simmons, MSW, LISW-CP
